The standard test length for each subject is as follows:

| Mathematics | 40 minutes | 50 minutes |
| Non-Verbal Reasoning | 30 minutes | 37.5 minutes |
| Verbal Reasoning | 25 minutes | 31.25 minutes |
Total standard assessment length = 2 hours 15 minutes
These new test lengths have been designed to allow pupils the optimum time to complete the tests.
Some pupils may not need the maximum time for the test.
Pupils with SEND who have had extra time approved by the senior school will be given 25% extra time.
