Can the candidate retake the tests?

Modified on Thu, 20 Nov at 12:48 PM

Tests are generally limited to a single attempt, and resits are only considered under exceptional circumstances.

It is essential to verify system requirements before starting the tests, and it is the responsibility of the invigilator to ensure the system requirements are met. Resits will not be granted for issues such as poor internet connectivity or minor technical difficulties. Resits may be approved in cases where candidates are forced to abandon the test due to unforeseen events, such as a fire alarm.

As the tests are adaptive, if the response does not match the applicant's overall ability, the tests will keep asking questions till they have made sure that they have determined the applicant's level with certainty. This eliminates the risk of the tests scoring the candidate poorly should they feel nervous for the first few questions or be inconsistent at any point of the tests or experience technical difficulties for a few minutes.

Please ensure that your IT department has reviewed the system requirements well in advance. Early coordination will help avoid any last-minute issues and ensure everything is in place for a smooth testing experience.

What are the system requirements for the assessment?

We recommend reviewing the Invigilation Centre Guide at least two weeks before the tests, and the Guide to Administering the Common Pre-Tests and Troubleshooting one week prior to the testing day.
