When creating the applicant profile for your child, at step 3 you will need to fill out information about your child’s SEND status.

Please follow the steps below to complete the SEND section of the applicant profile.
My child does not have any Special Educational Needs or Disabilities, and will not be receiving a diagnosis in the near future
Select ‘No’ and click ‘Next’ to proceed to the next step.

My child is currently being evaluated for a SEND diagnosis / my child does not have SEND documentation yet
If you do not have your SEND documents when you begin registration, you can skip this step and come back to this section later.
Select 'Answer Later' when you reach this section. Once you have your SEND documents, you will be able to return to the Applicant Profile and upload them.
Please note: the applicant profile will show as ‘incomplete’ until you have completed the SEND section. This must be completed before the applicant can be scheduled to take the tests.
My child has a Special Education Need or Disability
Select ‘Yes’.
Uploading Documents
To upload the recommended documentation – usually an Educational Psychologist’s / other assessor’s report and a letter from your current school’s SENCo outlining normal ways of working for your child – click ‘Drag and drop file or click to open’.

This will open your Downloads, and you will be able to select the relevant documents. Please note – you will only be able to upload one document at a time. Click 'open' to upload the document.

Once your files have uploaded, you can add any key information you would like to highlight in the ‘Document Notes’ box:

Extra Time
If you would like to request 25% extra time, please ensure you have ticked the ‘Request 25% Extra Time’ box. Use the ‘Additional Information’ box to explain why you are requesting 25% extra time.

Other adjustments
If you would like to request other access arrangements, please ensure you have ticked the ‘Request Other Adjustments’ box. Use the ‘Additional Information’ box to describe which access arrangements you are requesting.

After you have completed this section, you can click ‘Next’ to fill out the remaining details for the applicant profile.
FAQs and Troubleshooting
Do I need to contact the senior school and invigilation centre about my child’s SEND access arrangements?
As a part of senior school applications, you should have a conversation with each prospective senior school to ensure they are aware of any access arrangements.
ISEB recommends that you contact the senior schools to which you are applying to ask what evidence they require. You should also speak with your current school's SENCO to ensure that you give the correct information here.
Senior schools you have applied to will be able to see all uploaded documents and will use this to make their decision on your request for extra time and/or other adjustments.
My documents will not upload
SEND documents must be one of the following formats: PNG, JPG, PDF, DOCX or ODT and smaller than 8MB.
How will I know when 25% extra time has been added to the profile?
As a rule, if the applicant profile states ‘requested 25% extra time’, the extra time will be automatically calculated and applied to the applicant’s test code.
How will I know when the access arrangements have been approved?
We recommend having a discussion about access arrangements with the prospective senior school as part of the admissions process, prior to uploading documents on the portal.
Senior schools will contact you if they wish to raise an appeal about access arrangements that have been requested.
