What should I check before approving or rejecting a child who has selected my venue as the invigilation centre?

You can view each applicant profile before approving or rejecting it.

You should approve their request if all the information is correct and you are expecting this pupil to sit the tests at your centre.

Sometimes there are mistakes in the Applicant Profile, such as date of birth. In this case, if you are expecting this pupil to sit the tests at your centre, then you should contact the parent or guardian so they can amend the details through the Guardian Portal. Once the profile has been updated, you can approve the request.

Once a profile has been approved, the parent or guardian is unable to make changes. Amendments need to be requested from ISEB at this point.

If you were not expecting this child to sit the tests at your centre, you should reject the applicant profile. We recommend that you contact the parent or guardian to explain why you have rejected their profile. For example, they may have selected the wrong centre from the drop-down list. You can find their contact details by clicking on the applicant profile.
